Measurements:

Post: 7/8" thickwall tubing
Bracket: 1" x 4", 1-1/2" x 4" or 2" x 4" - 3/16" thick
Holes: 2 - drilled for #10 screws, countersunk.

Perfect for those who have the perfect shelf material already, and don't want to use traditional brackets.
Simply recess the back side of the shelf for the bracket, and drill a 7/8" hole with a commonly available spade bit, bolt the brackets up and slide the shelf on. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy.

They come in pairs.

The post measures 7/8" (0.875") in diameter, and the backing plate is 4" tall, by either 1", 1.5" or 2" wide and 3/16" thick - 13/64" holes are drilled 1/2" from either end, on centre and finished with a 3/8" countersink.

As with any other hidden/floating shelf bracket - they aren't intended to carry huge amounts of weight, but, they are definitely tougher then your generic thin-wall stuff available at your local flat-pack furniture store. These *must* be installed onto structure and are intended to be used with the bracket in a vertical orientation. Any use otherwise will result in an dramatically reduced carrying capacity.
