"Standard Duty" in the title for this hidden hardware can be misconstrued to mean that they don't hold much weight. When installed correctly, these floating shelf brackets have been tested to ~100lbs per pair (directly on the stud. When I reached failure, it was the fasteners - not the bracket - that gave way.) If you aren't confident installing these yourself, please consult a professional.
I take the time to make sure each shelf bracket meets my high standards. Sure, these brackets are a bit more expensive than the competition, but you really get what you pay for. Superior quality construction, high strength 1018 steel, made in a machine shop. These are machined on precision equipment to tight tolerances to make sure you get the best possible results.
Measurements:
Backing Plate: 1-1/2" x 2" x 3/16" steel plate, 2 holes drilled for #10 screws
Post: 2" - 11" x 1/2" round

This the 2nd purchase of this item. It worked perfectly for the shelves we wanted to install. The holes on the back are one above the other and the back is 1 1/2" high so it hides perfectly behind any 2 x dimension wood as long as you center the drill hole. I looked on line for less expensive but none of them had this quality which we needed. Worth the money and a quality product.
